Wednesday Gaming – Overwatch 2, Path of Exile 2, Minecraft and MORE!

– Blizzard Entertainment have announced that the next character in “Overwatch 2” is Hazard, a muscular, rebellious Tank-class hero from Scotland. Hazard will be introduced in Season 14 in December, but players can try out him in a weekend playtest from 22 to 25 November 2024.

– According to developer Grinding Gear Games, it will cost players $30 to play early access packs of their upcoming action RPG, “Path of Exile 2”. Details regarding what content will be included in these packs is expected to be revealed in the developer’s livestream event this Thursday, 21 November.

– For what it’s worth, Sony is reportedly negotiating to acquire Japanese media firm, Kadokawa, the majority stakeholder of “Elden Ring” developer, FromSoftware. Additionally, Kadokawa has considerable investments in the anime and manga sectors.

– A full-length trailer for “A Minecraft Movie” has been released. It gives a wider glimpse into the visuals of the “Minecraft” universe, including the game’s cube-shaped bees, wolves and skeletons. So far, most fans have reacted positively to this trailer, deeming it an improvement over the teaser trailer released in September.
